In addition to quiltmaking ideas and patterns, the quilters of days ago shared various tasty goodies at their get-togethers. My grandfather, in writing about his mother and her neighbors at their quilting bees, mentioned their having tea. I imagine Great Grandmother and her neighbors served more than a beverage.

Generally the newsletters I’ve found are published by quilters and quilt shops selling fabrics, patterns, kits, and quilting related items. Quilters from Pahrump, NV have organized a project, Quilts 4Cancer, to give Christmas quilts to children with cancer. They plan to provide 500 quilts made from fabric with a holiday/Christmas theme. If you don’t have time to make a quilt, you can donate fabric with holiday designs.
