The Use of Embellishments in Quilts, Good and Bad
Using embellishments for quilting has given fabric art a new dimension these days. You can use them to enhance, to cover mistakes, to lend creativity. Or you can include embellishments in such a way that generally they make your piece appear ugly.
I found a very interesting article on this topic at Quilted Paradise, Quilt Embellishments or When Bad Things Happen to Good Quilts. After learning about a poorly embellished piece, we learn how to be creative with embellishments.
How do you use embellishments? Some quilters use more than others to enhance their work.
