Quilting and Patchwork

Yard Sale Quilters

I know they’re quilters at our yard sale when:

*They don’t ask for a reduced price on the fat quarters or see if they can purchase the whole box for a bulk price.  Quilters know what fat quarters are for and realize they’re getting a good deal at 50 cents each.

*They spend considerable time going through the fabric my daughter has folded and displayed on the craft table.

*They also fold the fabric neatly if they don’t want it.

*They browse through the books and magazines and are excited by the good prices on these.  They don’t quibble about price for they know these are much reduced.

*They’re thrilled when they can find quilting and fabric arts magazines for 25 cents each of 5 for $1.00.

*They enthrall over the buttons, spools, bobbins, trims and other accessories on the table.

*They get on their cell phone to see if a friend would like something the quilter sees here.

Then we discuss their current projects and what they plan to do with the items they’re purchasing.

What do you find for your quilting projects when you tour yard sales?
