If you’re a fan of the summer Olympics in Beijing and plan on following some of the events, you’ll find Char Polanosky’s post, 30 US Olympians in their Teens of great interest. Char also includes a number of videos of the young men and women.
As you work on your quilting, perhaps you and your family will be following some of these events. (I’ve often sat doing hand quilting while I watched TV with my family.) Youngsters also will take great interest in the activities of their peers.

What you said brings back memories. I remember one Olympics in the 1980s that my children and I watched together. I got several cross-stitch projects done as we watched.
This year I’m working on a hand quilting project and I figure I should have lots of time to finish it as I cheer for my favorites in all the events.

Thanks for sharing, Jean. I wonder how many other quilters/fabric artists/needleworkers will get some project finished, or at least started, while they watch the events.
(Unfortunately, we don’t have TV reception at our home right now. It’s good in many ways, but doesn’t enable us to watch events like these.)
