Beach Week for Quilting Moms
It’s Beach Week over at One Book Two Book. So quilting moms who need some ideas for the youngsters or who want to relax at the beach, too, stop by and see what we and Camp Weary Parent have in mind.
Incidentally I have a new co-blogger at One Book Two Book. Marcie Pickelsimer joined me this week since Karen Weidemen and her family are undertaking a job and home move.
Qulting at the Beach
When our daughter was elementary school age, I often took her cousins and her to a nearby river to swim. Since we didn’t have a community pool or lake in our town, many families congregated at the river.
So I toted along my quilting, reading and writing. While the five youngsters frolicked in the water and on the sand, I kept up with my work and enjoyed the out-of-doors.

we made a beach themed quilt and bought tons of scrap fabric from this company in dana point that had a lot of leftovers from their projects, mostly hawaiian and surfing themed stuff, no solids or stripes, but what a deal!
