Quilting and Patchwork

Round Robin Books of Quilting

by Mary Emma Allen on March 26th, 2007

I mentioned previously that my daughter’s fiber art group decided to create fabric books for their Round Robin project this year.  From time to time Beth posts some of the work on her Meandering Threads blog.

After their second trade, these are some of the interesting creations the ladies are making.  They’ve each chosen a theme for their book and each one is different.  They’ll each add a page to one another’s book.

Here is one of Beth’s additions to a book:

I find this project utterly fascinating and can’t wait to see what new ideas the ladies come up with each time Beth comes home from one of their gatherings.

Do you have any Round Robin projects you’d like to share with us?

Oh, this is just so neat, Mary Emma! I think there must be something in the air :)
I have been making handmade books with all kinds of fun embellishments and blogging away on them. It’s so neat to see the book your daughter made!

It’s so interesting…you’re making the handmade books as my daughter is. Chloe, at Tangled Thread, is making ATCs, as daughter Beth is, too. And Chloe mentioned on her blog the fact that Beth’s work appears in the new “1001 Artist Trading Cards” book. Similar ideas seem to run in our families!
