ATCs Popular in the Quilting/Fabric Art World
ATCs, or Artist Trading Cards, have become popular in the art world and are invading the quilting and fabric art arena, too. These are the size of playing cards or baseball cards. You can make them using stamping techniques, fabric, fiber, and paper collage.
My daughter has participated in groups that trade the cards the way they do the fabric postcards. Katelyn Thomas, at Stamping Mad, discusses making and trading ATCs. She has a good basic explanation in her post, What is an ATC and why would I want one? Katelyn also refers you to an article explaining how to make them.
Another of Katelyn’s posts, Chinese New Year ATC, provides a picture of one of her ATCs.
You may enjoy making these small artistic items that are easy to work on as you travel and don’t take a great deal of time.
