Receiving Quilting Books for Christmas
My daughter was delighted when her family gave her Creative Quilting, the Journal Quilt Project book as a Christmas gift. It was on her list, but she wasn’t sure she’d receive it. This book, edited by Karey Patterson Bresenhan, has been the result of the work of many quilters from around the world.
“Journal quilts are [small] quilts that tell stories and that break boundaries,” you find in the Introduction. These 8.5 x 11-inch quilts tell stories about the quilters’ lives. They inspire other quilters and are a joy to look at.
Within this book, there are 272 pages of colored photos with information about the quilters and how they made their quilt(s).
