Creating Quilting Note Cards

by Mary Emma Allen on August 2nd, 2006

I enjoy collecting stationery and writing notes, whether on postcards or note paper.  Those with quilting designs particularly enchant me.  Now I’ve begun making my own.

Simply take photos of your quilts and fabric art, scan it into your computer, or enter directly from your digital camera.  Then print out as stationery, note cards or postcards on the appropriate paper.

Actually, I have my hubby do this!  He’s the techie in the family and does a really great job creating with the computer and his printing program.

How about turning your quilting projects into note cards? If you make fabric postcards, these will be ideal on paper as well as the fabric backing.  This way you can keep your original art, if you don’t want to send it or sell it, and transfer it to card stock.

I’d enjoy hearing from anyone who is doing this.  Do you have techniques I haven’t mentioned?
