Quilt Show Listings

by Mary Emma Allen on August 1st, 2006

Does anyone have a favorite web site for finding current quilt show listings around the country…and the world?  Also, what’s your favorite magazine with listings?  It’s fun, when traveling, to plan your schedule so you have time to visit a quilt show.

One problem I discovered, when browsing for quilt shows online…many of the listings were out of date.  There were some for 2005 and the first part of 2006.  I had to search around the Internet to find current listings.

I did discover that Alex Anderson has a monthly calendar of listings on her site (www.alexandersonquilts.com); when I clicked on “quilt happenings” I was taken to the current month.  She also has a map, with quilting events around the country.  Simply click on the state and you’ll see if there are any coming up in the future.

What’s your favorite place for discovering current and up-and-coming quilt shows?  Also, if quilt show organizers and quilt shops would e-mail me with your happenings, I’d appreciate it.
