Down Under Quilts
My daughter enjoys learning about quilts, quilters, and quilting techniques from Australia, or Down Under. She’s found a favorite magazine for keeping up on that country’s quilting and patchwork is Down Under Quilts.
By reading about quilters in other countries, you learn of similarities and differences, but find that the love of quilting builds a bond that transcends country boundaries. This fabric art unites quilters around the globe.
You may find quilters in other countries have different sights and scenes to inspire them (like Elaine Campbell’s Australian Desert Landforms Impressions or Sue Cooper’s Wangi Bay) in the June 2006 issue of Down Under Quilts. But the love of design and quilting stiumlates all of us to create new and beautiful art.
