The Magic of Quilt Basting Spray
When I helped sixth graders finish their ABC quilts recently, I learned, from one of the moms assisting, about the “magic” of quilt basting spray. She used it to hold the backing, batting, and top in place while the youngsters tied their quilt. Thus they could tie without pins or basting stitches to hold the layers in place.
Further information about this product is available from many places on the Internet simply by typing “quilt basting spray” into a search engine. You’ll receive tips on how to use and not use the spray, as well as online stores where you can purchase it.
At www.ufo-rphanage.com/spray_basting.shtml I discovered information from quilters about their experiences using quilt basting spray. There also were more tips at www.wku.edu. (When you reach the WKU home page, simply type “quilt basting spray” into the blank at “Search WKU.”)
Do you have any tips to share?
