Quilting and Patchwork

Creating Tin Box Sampler Gifts

by Mary Emma Allen on May 3rd, 2006

Creating your own Tin Box Quilt Sampler Kits could be an enjoyable way to provide gifts for family members and friends who do quilting and fabric art.

It’s also a way to use up those decorative tins you may collect. They seem to accumulate around our home because my daughter and I can’t resist them at yard sales or second hand shops…then can’t throw them out.

You might put together kits with instructions and pattern, an assortment of supplies for a particular project the quilter is working on, or simply add to the fabric artist’s accumulation of adornments and decorative fabrics.

These also can be a way to store your own supplies for small projects like mini quilts and fabric postcards.
