Quilting Books of Inspiration
I enjoy inspirational books of any type, but find those with a quilting theme particularly interesting. Recently my daughter was going through some of her books related to quilting and patchwork….fiction, instructional, and inspirational.
Some of these Beth received as gifts from quilting friends to inspire her in her work and her life. I like to read through them to as they bring back quilting memories, relate to some of my experiences, and encourage me in life.
One that caught my attention, both because of it’s format, as well as the pictures and quotations inside is Quilting Quotations Celebrating an American Legacy, compiled by Joyce S. Steward. It’s a miniature book, slightly smaller than the size you see below. This particular copy has a ribbon bookmark attached, with thimble hanging at the end. The quotations come from books old and new, and the colored photos are lovely.
