Mini Quilting & Patchwork Projects
I like mini projects I can carry with me as I travel, ones that fit into a sandwich size plastic bag or similar size freezer bag. I can carry this in my suitcase or the side pocket of my computer bag.
The popular fabric postcard projects fit into one of these bags nicely. I simply slide the materials or work-in-progress into it. Another small plastic bag might contain beads and buttons Id like to sew onto the postcard for decorative effect.
My daughter organized another small project for me a mini wall hanging. She cut pieces for the design and included a sketch of what it should look like finished. This was somewhat like a kit for a tiny project.
Brainstorm for mini projects you can carry with you when you travel, wait for youngsters at sports games, or sit in a doctors waiting room. Look through quilt books and web sites for more ideas.
