Patchwork Magic

(A poem)
There’s magic in patchwork
Full of memories, colors, and styles.
A magic that pulls families together
Throughout the generations.

Did we quilt with Grandma?
Did Mother tell us tales?
Do we find memory fabrics
From clothing worn years ago

Quilting bee gatherings
Brought ladies together
For chats, news gathering,
Sharing of talents and tea.

This patchwork trail
Of many hues and patterns,
Creates a heritage and bond

Save Your Scraps

My daughter pulled out several bags of fabric scraps for her latest project. These were simply strips and small pieces left after cutting out other projects.
